Wrestlemaina

I was just having a discussion regarding the fact that VH1's request show usually has 40% decent songs and the rest of their programming has 0% good songs. Gee could it be that like radio all of the music is played based only on the fact that the music industry pays VH1 to play their song. Pro Wrestling is a more legitimate idea than music programming.
It’s Caucus Time
The caucus is almost here and I am still wrangling with the difficult choice between Dennis and Al. Sure getting to vote for our next supreme being is an honor, but the caucus brings with it so much more. It allows common everyday folks like myself to become policymakers. Not only to I get to voice my opinion in public, but I get to recommend policy that will change the face of our country.
This year I will be proposing the following: The unborn fetus will now be responsible for its actions while in the womb of its mother. If a pregnant woman breaks the law shouldn't both her and her fetus be charged of separate criminal penalties? Too long has the blame in such cases been put on the burden of half of the guilty party.
If you would like to propose this at your local caucus please refer to it "The 2004: With rights comes responsibility act."
Yo Chuck, Run A Power Move On Em’
I went to see Chuck D. speak this evening at the UofM Great Hall. My buddy Mike had free tickets and Lisa let me use her parking pass. It was a completely free evening.
Chuck was on a good roll talking about dumb-ass culture and how completely ignorant Americans are to what is going on in the rest of the world. He ranted on about Viacom, blackface artists, Thug mentality, the Son of a Bush and how idiotic Hummer vehicles are.
I remember well the day the "It Takes A Nation Of Millions To Hold Us Back" came out. I was working at the Minneapolis Northern Lights record store. I always liked working in the upstairs; we had used records, rap, t-shirts, posters and videos up there.
Well the day it came out I put it on the turntable at around 11am and around 12:15pm I was in my second listen when the Rollins Band came into the store. They were playing that evening at First Avenue. They came upstairs and stayed through another 8 listenings of the record. They bought me lunch and beer. We just sat around on floor reading and talking.
All of us were completely floored by the record. There have been very few records that have effected me like this. Probably Gang of Four's Entertainment, the Clash's Sandinista and maybe Arvo Part's Fur Alina.
My buddy Mike has a website:
and his weblog
As you will see he doesn't quite like our current one term president.
Mike and I were talking about Ralph Nader and how important it is for him to be running for president. If people like him don't run than the political conversation will never go anywhere near what he has to say. It would be the best thing for the Democrats if he were allowed in the debates. Bush would be destroyed.
For this same reason I really believe it is too bad that Howard Dean dropped out of the campaign.

Website | Pepys' Diary
There is nothing like a weblog written
in 1661. I've been reading the diary of
Samuel Pepys for the past 3 months
and it is amazing how little has
changed in 343 years. I like to Read
this and Moby's daily blog back to
back.
